I thought it would be nice to blog my lovely girly evening out with one of my bestfriend's, including my getting ready process and also some pictures of the evening. I hope you like it!
The first step of my getting ready process is always a lovely hot bubble bath! Bath's are like my favourtie thing, so calming! Usually I would have a nice candle or two lit, but on this occasion I was in a bit of a rush so skipped it.
Next I moisturize my skin, these are my two favourite products! I have been using Soap and Glory - The Righteous Butter for about a year now and I love it, it leaves my skin so lovely and soft. I recently started to use the Vaseline moisturizer and I already love it, the smell is so good and it also leaves my skin so soft! What I like to do is mix the two together and moisturize!
After I do my make up, which is probably the part I love most about getting ready to go out. I love experimenting and seeing how it turns out and I don't know why but I find applying make up so relaxing! Here are just a few products I regularly use.
Here is my finished eye make up! My aim was a simple, effortless yet pretty look! I used MAC bronze eye shadow all over my lid and a litter bit under the eye, L'Oreal Super Liner - Ultra Precision to do winged eyeliner and finally Soap and Glory Thick and Fast lashes.
This is my overall finished make up look for the evening. On my skin I used MAC face and body foundation, Rimmel London Match Perfection Powder and finally MAC sweet as coca blush. On my lips I simply used Vaseline.
Here is my outfit for the evening, I wore a black bodycon dress which is actually backless from
Miss Selfridge, however I wanted to make it more casual so covered it up with this kimono type thing from primark, I accessorised with this statement necklace from New Look ( I can't actually find it online, sorry!) and on my feet a classic white pair of converse!
We ate at one of my favourite restaurants - Coast to Coast, I had a refreshing Pink lemonade to drink and ate a BBQ pulled pork wrap with sweet potato fries and homemade coleslaw. I had a lovely evening, so nice to catch up full of laughs, such a nice way to start Easter!
I hope you liked this style of post,
